Title: What is everyones most well rounded load
Post by: Caretaker on April 18, 2010, 08:18:29 PM: mine, 270 wsm 130 or 140 gran, or 300wsm 168 gr. If i had to choose one it would be the 270 140gr as my most versatile.

Post by: Woodchuck on April 22, 2010, 10:27:32 AM: i carry an old tang safety m77 338wm, runs 215 sierra game kings, knocks em all flat from grouse to elk. i would say in my humble opinion that the most well rounded cartridge is the 30/06 especially in the old days when they still made accelerators(i still have a couple boxes of those)

300 WM with 180 Barnes TSX over an undisclosed dose of H4831SC

32 WS 170 FP over a dose of 3031.

Not only knocks them flat every time but I don't think that since i've fine tuned that load that I've ever had a group looser than 1/2" regardless of the yardage. Its just a plain old tack driver

That's what I shoot out of my .300 WSM BAR... Looking at going to the Barnes MRXs now though.
