This is a totally hypothetical hunt... This time of year all the hunting i can do is dream hunting. My practical dream hunt would be a nooksack bull tag but if i could get a "dream" hunt it would be an August hunt for mulies in the Pasayten. Im just curious what impractical dream hunts other people have.

Bighorn sheep for me.
-
Mt. Baker mountain goat tag.
'Nuff said. ;)
-
bighorn sheep for me as well. but mt goat is right there as well. o please o please o please :chuckle:
-
Shanevg im right there with you... baker goat would be awesome! its seems that you spend enough time up there to already have your goat picked out.
-
I'll take the mountain goat. Would prefer something up around Mt Gardner or Mount Baker. Just would be happy to knock down a nice billy and preferrably with the longbow.
-
moose,I gotta hunt one
-
A governor's tag. :chuckle:
-
Since this is my dream tag, I want a combination Grizzly/Wolf/Mtn Goat/Bighorn Sheep/Moose/Columbian Whitetail tag :chuckle:
-
A governor's tag.
I think you're on to something!! :chuckle:
I'd like to bring home one of the monster caribou I've seen in the Brooks. Lotto$$ hunt :chuckle:
Washington Tag? Bighorn sheep or Goat, just to go where they are..
-
The incentive tag was pretty *censored*. I would probably want the Elk version and hunt the blues during rut

:iamwithstupid: Thats the only tag I really care about in this state. Well, maybe Nooksack Elk, but goat much much more.
-
moose tag for me (good till it's filled) :chuckle:
-
I have been doing a lot of research on Idaho and its crazy how many more tags they have for moose, sheep and goat compared to washington. They do have a quarter of the population but we have more "protected" area... we shouldn't have less then a tenth of their number of moose tags, less then have of their sheep tags and just over a third of their total number of goat tags. thats just crazy to me.
Oh and the new multi species tags are looking awesome but 16 to 20 bucks for a raffle is crazy to me.

But Idaho has moose over a large portion of the state, while Washington only has them in the northeast corner.
-
Westside raffle deer/or gov.

But its not for our lack of habitat is i guess what i was getting at.
-
does wdfw ever post how many people put in for raffles?

It isn't? What other reason would there be? Moose haven't been hunted to extinction in most of the state that I know of. I assume where there are no moose it IS due to a lack of habitat. But that is just an assumption. I really don't know. Do you?
-
I dont know enough about moose or the history of moose in washington to answer that question but when i look at moose habitat in other states and bc it appears that we have the habitat maybe just not the means to bring them to huntable levels like idaho.

Don't have a specific goat picked out yet, but I sure know where to look. :IBCOOL:

Idaho has more National Forest than any other state...
Comparing Washington to Idaho is just :P...

A lifetime, unlimited annual bag limit wolf tag which can be passed down to any person of choice by the tag holder. :chuckle:
-
that one is a good one with the wolf but i would rather have the whole state that way not just me :chuckle:
-
Sheep.
-
I would personally choose the eastside raffle deer tag. Hunt big muleys anywhere with the oppportunity to actually harvest one.

don't feel bad jelo45110 my best friend has been putting in since the very first drawing when you had to send in the money like most states i think it has been like 28-30 years of putting in and has never drawn his goat tag yet :bash:
-
The part that bugs me the most is I have known 3 guys that got drawn for that hunt the first time they put in for it.
jelo45110
-
man that is just crazy, wish i had that kind of luck
-
I recommend a moose tag, but if given a choice I'd probably go for sheep any unit.
-
hush doube lung . I guest the raffle sheep tag now , once you sheep hunt your hooked.
-
Any Goat tag gets me hard.
-
TMI
-
I can't wait till I pull the moose tag in my backyard. I have my current bruiser picked out.
-
High Country- If you dont draw and I do- will you share. ;)
-
Governor's/Legislature's tag. I would like to legally hunt down the witch and her cronies who are destroying this state and it's economy! Either that or a 5 year tag that allows me to take one of every big game species (and one of each sub-species protected or not) in this state.
-
bull moose if i could only have one if i could have 2 bull elk in the blues :twocents:
