Title: Turkey in GMU 121
Post by: Jekemi on April 19, 2010, 07:12:57 AM
I got a nice bird in GMU 121. They were all "henned up" so not responding to any calls. However, I jumped over a hedgeroe and shot a big Tom on the run on Friday evening. He had a crop the size of a soccer ball. They are eatign well over there. My son Kevin went with me. I felt bad that I couldn't get him a turkey. We did see a big cow Moose sloshing around in a marsh. The winter was mild over so there should be a huge number of turkeys next year.
