I spent the weekend over camping in the Methow. The deer herd looks good and the horns are growing. I even managed to find a decent 4pt shed.
-
great pictures... thanks for posting!!!!!!
-
We saw a buck last weekend near Naches that already had about 3" of new growth sprouting.
-
one in my yard tonight with about an 1.5" :chuckle: His Tarsals gave him away before his antlers.
-
saw a little horn nubs growing around here as well
-
had three bucks in the yard today with nubbins startin to grow.

Its funny you mention that. At first all we could see was his body,he had his head stuck in a bush eating. I called him a buck before we ever saw his antlers. His tarsals and body shape gave him away.

The blacktails in my area have about an inch so far.
-
Saw a couple blackies a week ago. One had bout an inch of growth the other was already splitting about 4 inches up.
-
I had four whitetails come into my decoys last weekend. This is only one who was curious enough to step up and check things out...pretty cool.
-
LOL...very cool pictures... thanks for posting....
-
Driving to my house yesterday i seen 5 blacktail bucks with 1-2 inches sticking out their head. Right off Cooper point road.

Wow.. I'd love to see a picture of that!! Get the camera ready for next time he's in the yard!
-
I saw an elk on tuesday that was branching out already with over a foot of growth.
-
The big elk are up working on their 3rd's already! Some a little above that. The biggest bucks I have seen only have a couple inches of fuzz so far but they sure are growing fast!
-
Isn't that what you shoot anyhow the ones with fuzz? :chuckle:
-
Haha i have shot enough little fuzzy ones, now its time to step it up a notch! Heres a couple I found today!!!
-
It's amazing how fast those things grow.
-
unfortunetly i just saw one that got nailed on hwy 200 over here in montana that had like 6-8 inches and was starting to branch at the top... ya know kinda like a big ball of growth but you could kinda still see the points coming in
-
Had a bull in the pasture 2 days ago working on his 3rd point. On his right side the antler is bent straight out to the side. I'll have to watch him, if he is the big 5 from last year he will be a dandy this year and have one hell of a spread! :chuckle:
-
Saw a BT walk across Lake Flora Rd that had about 8-10" and starting to split.... :yike: He's going to be a monster!!!!
-
Cool beans guys... 8) I was thinking the same thing when I spotted a herd of muleys this evening and flipped a U'ey in the highway to go back and look with the binos. No dice though, all does and fawns in that bunch.
-
:mgun: in a couple months!!!!!!!!
-
Yep I seen a buck last night out side of town that was 10 inches to a foot out of his head already, first time in a long time that I didn't have my camera :'(
-
In the last week I have seen some whitetail bucks with 6-8 inches and some with only nubs, funny how some start earlier, they probably aslo drop earlier.
-
My dad said he saw a buck that already had 3 points just west of ellensburg yesterday. Near that abandoned little golf course right off the freeway.
-
two weekends ago seen a buck that had already had his main fork, was out past his ears and had 2" brows in the snake river canyon.... gonna be an absolute HOG buck this year!!! Monster body too...
