Got my itty bitty skull back today but look just about right between the eyes. :chuckle: The bear was across a canyon looking down so the bullet went through the nose and center punched the bear through and through. DRT. Gotta love it. It even rolled darn near all the way to an old skid trail.
here's a pic the day I got it.

Nice, Who did the work?

Fuson's did it but he actually sends the skulls out to his "beetle guy"

Nice looking skull... I like the custom bullet hole as well.. :chuckle:

Are you saying that after exiting the mouth the bullet entered the chest cavity? Sweet shooting if so. Definately a unique skull with some bragging rights.

Yep. Straight across a small canyon at close to the same elevation. Front paws on a stump with the bear's body turned straight toward me and it was looking straight down below itself. So the flight path went through the nose and into the chest. It collapsed onto the stump as if it were posed. It lay that way for a minute or so then rolled down the hill into a bush. I thought it was much further away than it was, I put the cross hairs between the ears thinking it'd drop into the chest. It only turned out to be 180 + yards so the bullet didn't drop much. Sure glad it didn't wreck the skull. When my friend got there with his rangefinder and told me the range I immediately thought "uh oh, this is a small bear" and it was. :hello: Oh well.
here's the link for the original story.
