Last year I went to this to practice with my new camera. It is shooting under very dim light, moving subjects, and varied lighting. It is great practice. I went again this year mainly to see the difference in my photos after 1 year. After looking at my photos from last year and seeing I used the 70-200 2.8, Shawn suggested using the 50mm 1.4 for everything. That is what I did.
I took a couple of test shots in AV mode, then dialed in everything in manual. Because the girls walked through varying brightness and color of light, I did not want the camera deciding anything for me. After about ten shots I boosted the shutter from 1/80 to 1/100 and lived with that. Except for a few candids at the end, these were all shot with a Sigma 50mm f1.4 at iso 1600 and no flash. Anyway, here is the link if you guys are interested. Feel free to criticize or post suggestions since I do this for the learning experience. I wish I had better photo software. This is all processed with DPP.

Oh, don't ask me who won, because I didn't stay to the end.

Would you mind posting a couple pics - one from last year and one from this year where you feel like you made a significant improvement? I would like to see if I can tell the difference in quality.

Same thing just happened to me. Women have a sixth sense when it comes to men looking at other women whether it be on the street or pics on a computer. Uncannny!!! :yike: :yike: She asked what these gals had to do with a hunting/fishing web site. :chuckle:
