Title: Idaho Goat
Post by: nwhunter on May 02, 2010, 08:34:39 AM: So I made a 180 on my Idaho app and instead of moose with pretty good odds of drawing I decided to try for mt. goat again with miserable odds. However the odds are way better than here in Wa so figure it is probably my best hope of hunting goat without going north. I figure I can hunt moose when I am old but goats probably better get er done while I got good legs. If I get my $2100 refund check back I won't be to dissapointed though....ouch. Anyones else in for goats in Idaho? Good luck in the draws. nwhunter

I also say "eh" quite a bit being from Lynden and all. ;) I have no shame to say I would love to move to BC! (doesn't get any better than being able to shoot a mountain goat every year!)

It would cost us just under $130,000. I forgot the caribou tag.

(Alberta's winter playground) I'm damn near Canadian myself. With the current state of affairs here, the hunting and fishing opportunities in BC and Alberta. Believe me, the thought of a mid 50's retirement to Canada is weighing more and more on my mind. Having a real tough time dealing with the idea I'd have to leave my pistols here in the US however.

Back to the original question, not in on Idaho, but in on Montana and Washington. One of these days gonna quit applying and just book a Goat hunt on Kodiak or in BC.
