Watched a show on the hunting chanell where they used a black umbrella held in front of them to get close to a bear because of the bears poor eyesight he thought it was just another bear. The way the weather has been here on the coast an umbrella could come in handy.
-
Jim Shockey does that.
I wouldnt do it over here though...wearing black during bear season is a bad idea.
-
Never thought of that but your right on there.
-
Ive had them look right through me at 30 feet..not the best eyesite at all
-
till you move or they smell you. great idea tho. that stuff work's great on pronghorn archery. Rick ;)
-
Sounds like a good way to get shot. :(
-
Dont hunt bear in a black sweat-suit ?... :chuckle:
-
That was a very tragic accident and not a good day for anybody let alone hunters. Probably not the best idea to laugh at. :twocents:

I did not meen anything specific, sorry if I offended.

Not offended, just saying. It sounded like a young kid that made a horrible mistake.

You're thinking of the "accident" at Sauk Mountain where the kid shot the hiker? If so, she wasn't wearing black. She was wearing a blue jacket.
I don't think anybody was "laughing" about that accident. It wasn't the topic here.
-
She had a BRIGHT blue jacket on.

Reminds me of Indian paintings were their sneaking up on deer with a deer hide on the back.Might work OK but I'm not going to try it.
