Title: what type of call ao you use

Post by: Tom Tamer on May 07, 2010, 05:06:15 PM: My goto calls are a backwoods purpleheart Glass/glass and a B.W. walnut Slat over glass and a plethera of mouthcalls....Zinks, Hooks, and a couple Primos ones. Box calls I go with a Howard House box or a Jim Nelson one I picked up last year.

My box call is a Lynch® World Champion #102. I use four Hunter Specialties® Pot Friction Calls...................
• Ring Zone™ Slate
• Ring Zone™ Crystal
• Black Widow™ Glass
• Voo Doo® Ceramic
I use Carbon, Hickory, and Rosewood strikers also from Hunter Specialties®.

Post by: Whitelightning on May 09, 2010, 09:19:22 PM: I use RutnStrut crystal over alluminum friction and a RutnStrut checkered box call mostly, A couple of wing bone calls and a varity of diaphram calls mostly HS strut.

Post by: danceswitharrows on May 10, 2010, 05:03:58 PM: I only use box calls. They seem to be the simplest to use correctly. The guy I hunt with uses pot calls as well and is a amazing caller but I am not at that level :(

but i always go to my primos v-cut diaphragm. i called a whole lotta turkeys with that call
