i am not from that area, there are carp all over the place. from lakes to rivers to creeks it is open almost everywere year round as well. if there is any lakes near you or slews off a river thats near you check them out here in a few weeks the role will start and they will be spawning and they will be on top of water. the best months are june and july.

Silver lake down near longview has several carp.  Be sure and don't shoot the grass carp for last I knew the fine was 80 dollars a pop.  Have seen some big ones down on the columbia when tide is in a little back in the brackish water.  Will have to wait until late June/July for the best luck there though!
