I saw my first pups last night about midnight. The neighbors beef had gotten out and I was helping them locate and ran across about 8 pups.
There are 7 now.....

excellent!

Heard the pups yelping in our area last weekend for the first time. Things had been quiet for the last couple of months. I imagine they'll be roaming around soon, maybe I'll be able to give my new R-15 a work out.
One can hope.

Ya, but I've made the mistake before.....you don't need to lead them as much. :chuckle:
Reminds me of a line from the movie Full Metal Jacket.
I'll get a picture of the one I shot for size comparison later if I make it back that way.

Cant wait to see the pics, and congrats on the hunt!

No dice in finding the carcass. These pups were small, still lean looking. They haven't gotten to the "little fat football" size yet. The den is only 20 yards or so from where I saw them. I knew there was a den close but not the exact location till this morning.
