One of the Hardest things I have ever had to do!! My 13 y/o yellow lab went to the rainbow bridge last night. She started to suffer, so had to do it. Watching Her last breath tore my heart out. She is now romping in the fields and chasing roosters once again. RIP Kayla

Damn guys this is too many pups going down this year.
Even though these are not my dogs I get all chocked up. I love my dogs and they take care of me.
I hope you get a new pup soon. I always like to have one ASAP the empty spot from each one is still there but the little wiggly pup helps with the loss

Sorry for your loss, I hope that another dog will help with the pain of such a terrible loss.

Tough to see them go, but also a relief to see them free from the pain of there later years. May her memory live on with you.

sorry to hear, a good dog is just like a family member

it;s a time that really sucks they give so much and ask for so little. Like the guys said best thing is a new pup it won;t replace the old one but will make you smile again.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It's been 2 years now that I had to go thru the same thing. It was the worst day of my life. I'd like to say that it gets easier but it takes time. My yellow lab is 12 this July and I am dreading what I know is soon to happen. Peace be with you and your family in this difficult time.

Thanks guys for all of the comments. It is indeed comforting!! I have the memories of sleeping in the tent with Her on top of my bag, and chasing all of the roosters and the retreives/ She was one of the great ones and will be missed by "Her Dad" :)
