The Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting a youth waterfowl hunt this September. The Washington Waterfowl Association will be helping out with the event, They will be helping with the hunt and setting up the blinds and the seminar day. The hunt allows for 16 kids to hunt the refuge. There will be 8 blinds on the refuge. This will be the first ever waterfowl hunt on this refuge since it was created. are the directions to apply for the Youth waterfowl hunt at the Turnbull NWR.
Youth hunters will be selected from
a random drawing. Applications are
accepted at the Refuge or by mail from
August 1-15. Any person whose name
appears on more than one application for
the same hunt day will be excluded from
the drawing, as will applications that do
not follow the guidelines provided.
1.Use only standard U.S. Postal
Service postcards.
2.Type or print clearly.
3.Give full name, addresses,
telephone numbers, hunting
license number for each youth
hunter applicant, and whether the
disabled access site is needed.
4.Mail postcards to:
Refuge Manager,
Turnbull NWR,
26010 South Smith Rd.,
Cheney, WA 99004.
Drawing results will be posted on the
Refuge website (http://www.fws.gov/ (http://www.fws.gov/)
turnbull). A letter of confirmation with
a numbered Youth Waterfowl Permit, an
access pass and a parking permit will be
mailed by the end of August
