Title: horseshoe lake mountain goat!!
Post by: loaderboy on May 14, 2010, 09:10:25 PM: I could'nt believe my eyes I was fishing there last weekend and next to the waterfall there was a goat laying on the rocks and was there all afternoon watching us troll around. This lake is just north of spokane. My kids have never seen a mountain goat in the wild before and were very excited. IT sure doesnt look like goat country but I guess you never know. :)

It's just a few mile north of Eloika lake.

Post by: loaderboy on May 16, 2010, 06:36:55 PM: fishing was ok for the silvers we caught 7 but if you just wanted to catch rainbows you could catch them one after another. I would love to get a pic of the goat but he was 200 yds away and I just had my little camera. I went yesterday too and the goat was on the same rocks this time I had the binos and got a better look.

When I was scouting for goats up on Chinook Pass, I would occasionally see them well away from cragy places. I saw a goat on a road over by Brinnon, Wa one day. It was almost at sea level.
