Title: Early season antler growth
Post by: hunter75 on May 21, 2010, 01:06:44 AM
I am looking for some info on the growth of deer antlers this time of year. I've been tracking a few bucks on the trail cam and was wondering what type of size people are seeing in other areas. Any feedback or pictures of bucks would be appreciated. Is there some type of growing schedule?

the bigger bucks be showing what they've got by now. I've seen a couple of whitetails that are starting on their 4ths and are maybe 15-16in wide. Saw one mulie that was already 20" and saw a bull two weeks ago that would already be over 300".

you should be able to tell by now if they'll be good ones.

it gets exciting about now, they really start adding bone :)

Saw a mulie yesterday near eburg about like the one in the picture but 2x2 with about 3 additional inches. Im guessing he will be legal by fall.
