Title: Taurus 444 Ultra-Lite (Or Revolver in General) Question
Post by: oneshotkill on June 05, 2010, 03:01:46 AM
I recently bought a Taurus 44 Ultra-Lite and I absolutely love it.  It fits me perfects and even though it is a titanium frame 44 mag the recoil is not bad at all.  Yesterday I was looking at it and I found that if there is a bit of pressure against the cylider it will not rotate all the way.  It will almost fully rotate and at the last second slip and you could either role it backwards or forwards to the next chamber before it will lock.  It could obviously be dangerous if you shot and the cylinder was not fully lined up with the barrel and seeing as it is my bear back up gun I need to know that I ever need to pull it out of my holster it will safe go off.  Do any ov you know what might be causing this?  Do I need to take it to a gunsmith (2 hours away), send it to Taurus, or is there something that I could do myself to fix it?  Thanks

That was the problem with my 608 .357  The lock up got worse and worse till I was afraid to shoot it.
