My daughter drew a Tucannon Rifle tag.  I've had more Tucannon tag holders contact me this year than Wenaha tags.
Booked some guided and drop camps already. Will probably get some more as people start scouting and see the units for the first time.  We will have to really work hard to find animals in an area rumered to have no elk in the Blues.

 :yike:

And he lives in waitsburg...so he'll have a little scouting time :chuckle: Ive tried in the past to get him to sign up on the site but I don't think he's much of a computer person.

I guess he also drew a modern late buck tag as well...not sure exactly which tag.

They may be ablr to turn their tags back in and get there points back ?? Might give that a try so they dont loose them all on a wolf infested no elk area. Then they can put in for the best tags in the state, Margret and Toutle next year. There is no better place to kill a monster 240-250 class bull  :P

I am set to go with a friend and his buddies. We are going horse back and we go in six miles to a camp. I have done my homework. The only thing now is learning to score an elk on the hoof. I will be in good shape and I have done a lot of hunting in rugged ground by foot.

Bucklucky is right, you don't need to waste time trying to score on the hoof as there are no hooves in there to score, but good luck with that awful tag  ;)

*censored* Ridge?  (Don't go in off *censored* Ridge.  We named that one.  We thought we were going in off Buck Ridge, but we were one ridge off.  Took us all afternoon to fight through the brush-choked canyon that we dropped into.  The ridge didn't have a name on the map, so we named it "*censored* Ridge".  'cause we were *censored*es.  Don't go off that one....)

Rabbits and french toast are the wrong idea when you are clipping toenails with one of those.  So are poachers in the desert... :twocents:

Just found this forum. Nice!  I drew Mt View Archery.  Got my best bull out of that unit in the 90's.  I've got most of Sept. off, so I have plenty of time.  Thanks for all the great pics.  I'll make sure to be putting in for Margaret in the future  :bash:
