I am set to go with a friend and his buddies. We are going horse back and we go in six miles to a camp. I have done my homework. The only thing now is learning to score an elk on the hoof. I will be in good shape and I have done a lot of hunting in rugged ground by foot.
  where do you go in?  Saddle BUtte?  First Creek?

*censored* Ridge?  (Don't go in off *censored* Ridge.  We named that one.  We thought we were going in off Buck Ridge, but we were one ridge off.  Took us all afternoon to fight through the brush-choked canyon that we dropped into.  The ridge didn't have a name on the map, so we named it "*censored* Ridge".  'cause we were *censored*es.  Don't go off that one....)

got dayton riffle 6pts, but I don't have a clue and I heard that the elk were all gone,second time in six years, first was bow.

don't worry pathfinder, he has the East tag, he doesn't have to worry about all that brush and blowdowns.
