Have any of you tried the new Hornady FPB's in 50 cal? Looks like they make them in 300 gr and 350 gr. I drew a late season muzzy tag and I'm thinking about trying out some different bullets. They look good to me. Just wondering how well they perform.

i am sure we have talked about them before you might try a search and see what you come up with if you have not already looked. i like the barnes but am going to try the harvester bullets this year. but i will probably go back to my dead center never let me down. i have shoot the sst i think that what they are called and they shot well but would not open up. i know there i a few topics on those bullets

The sst are sabots arent they? The fpb's are not, thats what I like about them.

Looks like a great bullet. I want to try them too. But probably won't until I run out of all the bullets I currently have (Harvesters, all lead.)

we had problems shooting them out of a few guns, they had a tendency to walk up the target and spread out plus be bore size they are pretty hard to load these were the 350 grain one maybe the 300s are better ? :dunno:
