Hello to all, I am new to the posting but have regularly visited the site. Appreciate all the outdoor enthusiasts and the insight that is given. Hope you enjoy the picture. (Hopefully this didn't post twice, I got an error message :dunno:)
-
Skyval....that first one you posted ...very nice. There truly are some very nice places here in the PNW. This will be a hard month to judge but that is probably one of my favorites.
-
Nice pic's everyone!
- Skyval, That lake pic is cool, it looks familiar? probobly not since it has been awhile since I have been up there, but is it lake persis?

Probably not a winner, but one of my favorite photos ever. Wife took the Picture last fall when we were scouting for deer season. This was my daughters first trip.....We hiked a few ridges that day and my daughter talked the whole way. Not a good way to find animals, but still fun.
-
my daughter talked the whole way
:chuckle: And now that that's happend, you'll never be able to get her to be quiet. Get used to it! She'll be demanding a cell phone by the time she's eight! :chuckle:

I saw your name as a re-post to this thread and as I clicked I was hoping that you'd have posted another photo. There are some great shots here, but that Billie is outstanding in my book.

-
i think this are the right size. If not i am sorry guys. Also the last picture is of a full moon, i don't know if that doesn't count but it looks good. Sorry if it's not supposed to be on there.
-
It's hard to decide what to even enter this month, here's my first entry taken last September from Mt St Helen's.
-
Excellent shot
-
Ray, thank you for the kinds remarks. This shot is one of my favorite from this summer and has a great deal of sentimental value to me. I was blessed to spend a week with my best friend since high-school crawling around the wilderness of the PNW. This was only the third time we've been able to get to adventure together since we graduated in '97. It was good for the soul in ways word can't describe.
Steve, thanks for the nod. I really enjoy playing with non-typical, contrasty lighting tones, especially in monochromes. Do you still do B&W pieces? I'd love to see some. We should start a thread for those shots.
-
No Decker.. I gave up the shutter bug hobbie about 25 years ago. Oh the days of D76 in the dark room.. Kept the sinus's clear and the mind .. Uh, well, creative. (on the other hand, I probably kilt more brain cells that way than I did with other extra curicular activity.)
-Steve
-
Wow incredible pictures everyone! Were fortunate to live in the pacific Northwest

Napali Coast in February.

Here is my submission.
This one was taken on a hike/hunt up to the Puyallup Ridge Fire Lookout late last September or early October. I loved how the trees framed the mountain in.
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi52.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fg6%2Fsportfury65%2FElkGrouseSept09014.jpg&hash=bff1ad2045c9212c28507b315d5501922cd9e7b4)
This picture was in the same general area about 300' lower at 4300' and a few miles away. I liked how the pine cones on these trees stood out.

I think this has been my favorite month for pictures. All of these pictures are awesome and really show off this great state we live in.
Addicted has to be feeling a little homesick now. :chuckle: I don't know how the powers that be are going to figure out which ones to vote on. :dunno: Keep them coming....I love them all.
