Come one come all, rookies, pros, and the in between. We have something for everyone at this year's 2010 Bownanza at Cedar River Bowmen. This year we have over $12,000.00 in prizes. For those who have been before you know how much fun it is. For those that have never been, you won't regret this weekend of fun in the sun with your fellow archers. I hope to see many of you there. This year should be awesome!!! I've included the link to the flier.

I'm bringing the whole family down with the trailer after work on Friday should be a fun time
-
Good to go, I'll probably be flipping burgers in the late afternoon on Saturday and Sunday so stop on by.
-
Ok just so everyone knows, we will once again have a Spaghetti Dinner on Friday night and a steak dinner on Saturday night. Stay tuned, as there sounds like we will be having a cool surprise guest if things go as planned. :)
-
Lady Gaga???? Oh, please, please, please tell me she'll be the special guest! ...ok, maybe not. :bdid:
-
Is it going to be Obama? We could use him as the novelty long shot. How fun would that be
-
Nope you guys are both wrong, hopefully I can let the cat out of the bag soon. 8)
-
Im excited I finally get to make it this year. I have been trying for the last 2 years and every year something always seems to come up. I will be there with my girlfriend and a couple guys from the fire house and maybe their families. We are looking forward to the good time!!!!!
-
OK wonky wapiti who's it going to be
-
sounds like a blast
-
Ok well I'm still waiting to hear about the one I was initially talking about but sounds like we will have some people with booths for the first time this year. I believe the Spott-Hogg team will be there and will have a booth set up as well as a couple of others. I'll give a hint tho, if our "special guest" is there it sounds like we will be having an elk calling seminar!
-
Jim Horn?
-
Joel Turner?
-
nope and nope ;)
-
Gotta be Uncle Ted!
I sure wish I could make it to that shoot one of these years! You guys are good at scheduling it so I'll be at work those days.
-
I don't think uncle Ted will be doing an elk calling seminar. Maybe some of the promos guys?
-
I'm taking Friday off work and coming doup to camp for the weekend what time can we start showing up.

I got the trailer parked and I'm ready to shoot. Trailer is parked right next to target 21 feel free to stop by and say high. Its the trailer with the kids toys under the awning

Nice job to crb. This was another great bownanza had a lot of fun.
-
Ok, I'm exhausted after just getting back home. After shooting all day with my daughter on both days, working the cook shack in the afternoons, and then helping run the coon shoot after dark on Friday and Saturday night I am pooped! Thanks to all that attended and helped make this another succesful shoot. I'm not sure what the final count was but I know we hit the 300 shooter mark this morning.
If you guys went, I'd love to hear what you guys liked and what you didn't so we can improve next year. Stay tuned for our upcoming marked yardage 3d shoot the weekend of August 7th.
-
that was a fun shoot. a little hot so when we finnished on sunday we went to the river for a swim before awards. it worked out well. i ended up winning a nimrod pack so that was cool. thanks agian for a great shoot.
-
A nimrod pack huh? :P
-
Very cool, I saw you get that Nimrod pack. Yeah we had well over 12k in stuff that went out in prizes.
-
Great job as usual for CRB! The shoot was great the people were great and the food was great! Only have two minor issues, didn't like how you had to shoot back across the trail on target 27 (I think) and the long money shots should have had a womens stake, I don't think my wifes bow had enough poop to make it to either polar bear :chuckle:. Again Awsome job CRB!
-
I agree about target 27 couldn't see shooters at the stake from the trail. First time in 4 years I hit any money dots and I hit 2 this year. I was one of two shooters to hit the beaver and I hit the bouncing ball think

I will bring this up at the next board meeting, thanks for the feedback this is what we want to hear to make everything safe and enjoyable for everyone.
-
yeah i was realy stoked to get that pack. i got a little confused on the course though. i have never shoot there before so it was hard for me. didnt bring my compass. :'(
-
I had a blast last weekend up there. No thing to maybe bring up also is a shot gun start were people sign up for a target and walk out to it before the shoot starts then someone blow a horn so they can start shooting. We got suck behind groups all day saturday and that would help disperse the groups some. Other then that I had an awesome time hit 2 money dots and won some door prizes. Great shoot CRB
