But I do know that it is extremely heavily hunted during modern, so the above advice is probably good. I would find an open area that is in off the roads a good distance, and surrounded by trees. Set up on that, and wait.

I would not say that, general modern season with all the other yahoo's out there, it's a mad house with people every where.

And you are talking about after the general season is over, when the pupmkins have left the forest.

As far as the hunting there can be a lot of elk in the area with a lot of big bulls! My suggestion would be find a big draw and set up a few stands so you can watch a lot of directions and wait for the elk to come

Turned out to guys below me shot at once and took out the only two spikes... The herd was literally within 10 yards of them... Lucky *censored*s!
