Title: Bears, Lions & Coatis: An AZ Trail Camera Odyssey
Post by: Black Bare on July 14, 2010, 10:01:52 AM
Thought I would share some of the more interesting tail camera pictures my buddies and I have gotten over the past year.  I'm originally from western WA but now reside in AZ now.  For the past few years I have mostly lurked on the site and thought it time to participate a little.  Seems to be an educated community in regards to hunting matters in WA.  Thanks to all for everything I have learned from the site.

Now... I'm not one to protest proof of illegals and good photos of wild game, but I've seen most of those photos on the net over the last few years.

You may have seen these pictures floating around... In case you have heard something other than the truth all of the photos of the illegals are from my good friend Chipper's trail camera and all taken in southern Arizona.

I've also seen the pictures on the net saying that they were taken in New Mexico, Texas, etc.  Not true.

And I can't imagine the pictures being around for a few years.  The dates are correct.

The sixth picture is a Coatimundi...

Pretty sure coatis are native to AZ...sure are a lot of them running around the desert down there.  Very cool critters.

Hey Guys...  I pulled the pictures of the illegals.  I didn't feel like argueing over their authenticity, etc.. etc.. and possibly inciting some sort of political hubbub.  Error in judgement on my part... my falt.
You can still see them on my website if you're interested...

Unfortunately it is not uncommon to get illegals on you game cams when they are set up in the southern part of the state.  The average illegal hasn't caused me any trouble while hunting.  They generally run fast in the opposite direction when they encounter a white guy in camo carrying a bow.  The drug runners on the other hand could care less about hunters and just assume put holes in you.  That can get scary.

Besides the obvious political and safety issues... my only real complaint about the illegals is that leave so much garbage in some of the most scenic land in all of the U.S.   Be forwarned!  I did not take this picture my self but it illustrates a situation I have run into many times while out hunting in southern arizona.

Thanks for the kind words about some of the trail cam pics.  From now to the end of january I will continue to monitor 6 cameras and post them periodically.

A sad state of affairs for Southern Arizona...

and they want to give these uncaring, zero respect for anyone or anything a-holes amnesty.....  :bash: :bash:

I really like these pics from your cams very cool stuff you get to see down there...wish you could get those pics on the nightly news with regularity so the rest of the country can see the real story at the border...oh well world is not run according to me  :P
