any body know if the newby creek rd that comes off of the twisp river rd. open to vehicle traffic or only for foot and bike traffic.
-
Used to always be open. Don't know as of recent days though.
-
open, we drove up there last year in oct. Do you hunt that cr? It seems pretty thick in there.
-
no, i usually hunt porman and libby cr. but i was going to give it a try
-
we have driven those 2. never stopped to hunt. You ever had any success in either of the 2.
-
i've had success on the porman cr. side. i was hoping that newby cr. road wood be closed, it looked pritty good from a distance and i might just give it a try any how.

me and my bro might be up around that area this oct for deer. might contact you later and possibly hook up with ya up there. if thats cool.

Isnt poorman creek primarly private property?
-
if your lookin for me i'll be the only guy up there all day probably, besides my bro. unless we fill a tag ;)
-
Newby creek goes in aways then it is burmed out. There is a road that goes east off the road that dead ends real close to private property that is off from poorman creek.

I can guarantee you won't be the only guy up there all day. I know that county very well and you will not be alone, it use to be really good hunting untill someone told the someone, which turned into a crap load of people. The general season gets hit VERY hard. Have fun and keep lots of orange on.

Hoping to get some scouting in this weekend. Drew the late season muzzy tag. Would any of you guy's recommend one area over another come late November. If you want you can shoot me a pm.

I drew the late rifle Alta rifle back in 2000. I know that unit pretty good if you need some info.
