Just thought I would let you guys know I talked to the WDFW and there was a misprint on the tags there are only supposed to be 2 tags for muzzle loader you might want to check into this could be heart breaker :dunno:
-
When I saw that they were proposing 2 tags , I was curious when they changed it to 6 . I would have put in for that tag, but at 6 tags I figured that locals would secure a couple, and permission would be hard to come by.
-
REDRAW! :chuckle: that sucks hope they honnor the guys that have them but i bet they won't! >:( i got screwed out of a dog cat tag last year >:( so i know the frustration about losing a tag :bash:

Hey 400out i heard the rifle hunter last year went 11 days without seeing an elk . The game dept starts pushing them all into lick creek .
He finally found one bull all by himself almost all the way into pomeroy. Game dept heards them out with helicopters last year i heard it started around mid october.

Yeah I know of this they have already started this year :bash: have to keep my hopes up if I can get on some of the private ground I'm looking at then my odds should be pretty good I think
-
Why do they herd them out of that unit?
-
They say it's to run them out of the farm land ( damge control ) personally I think the amount of money they put into heli, pilot, gas, ect. ) would compinsate the farmers really nice!
-
Oh most definitely. Also If they didn't run them out I think that the farmers would hunt them and be quite successful as well as if they are doing that much damage the farmers might be more likely to give permission out to people like ourselves.

Yeah good luck with that! All it takes is 1 guy to get permission then cut a fence shoot a piece of equipment or drive through a field!!! and it's all over
-
yeah. A few bad apples ruin it for everybody.

:yeah:

The biggest concern/problem that I believe the farmers or landowners have down with giving permission to hunt there is guys driving out in the stubble/CRP fields and setting the fields on fire with their trucks. I've gotten permission to a lot of property down there but the 1 gleaming warning comes towards driving in the field. I've seen 1 field set on fire and that was done by the landowner's son in his dad's truck driving out into the field to pick his buddies up.
oops.
-
yeah gas powered trucks can be an issue in wheat fields.

well I just heard that they are going to honor the misprint if I had a muzzle tag I would be stoke but seeing as I dont :bash: :bash: could make things different
