well i decided to ditch the rubber band style peep and go wth the sew on type while back. shot it a couple times and it is still twisting to the right to where it is blocking my vision.. had it fixed so i thought but didnt work after the 10th shot today. any thoughts?

Try a string loop. :twocents:

would that solve the problem?

it helps also another trick that worked for me it once it is tied into the string. what ever way it wants to twist go to the top and wrap some serving in the oppist direction of what it is twisting and it seemed to balance it out :dunno: i hae not had one problem with mine ever twisting since i did that ya might try it if the string loop does not stop it.

Go back to the rubber band, it will never be out of alingment when you have the shot arrive that you've been dreaming of. It will only take ONCE for it to be twisted and block your site at the wrong time, before you go back to the rubber band anyway.

I used to have the same problem til an old timer showed me something very obvious. So I was apparently "loading" the arrow onto my bow incorrectly. I used to slide my nock onto my arrow and the swing my arrow over onto my rest. This would invariably always twist my peep to the right. So I now load my arrow onto my rest and then slide the arrow across the rest straight back until my Nick is seated onto my string. Now I don't have the twisting problem.

ok.. all great tips thanks guys.. ill go back to the band just for safety sake for now since i gotta leave it in the shop and when dec comes totally mess wth it again haha

I've always used peep rubbers , now I hear the rubber band snaping when I shot . Thinking of going to the new G5.

If your peep is rolling while at full draw you need to add twists to the string. You may also want to try moving individual strands of the string to the left or right of your peep.

I still use the peep with the rubber band, but I am considering changing to the Peep Eliminator instead. This looks like a good alternative to the peep sight to me.

That seems like it will block out a lot of the target. I would rather see more of the target and have the smallest pin possible, instead of having a whole bunch of stuff in the way.
:iamwithstupid:
looks like something for rifle hunters that cant adjust.

Until it snaps.
If you shoot out any stretch/twists in your string then put in your peep there will be no issues
