THere will be no ties. If this poll ends in a tie, I'll decide the winner. I'll get the pics up this evening or someone else with more time can add them........ GOOD LUCK to the contestants. What great photos!

-
Both quality pictures but unfair advantage when it;s bear season. Glad it;s you that has to make a disission if there is a tie would be hard to decide.
-
My votes in - Extremely tough! My first vote pic didn't make it to the finals? tells you how good all these pic's were this month! (Got to go with the B/W fishin) Looking at it tells a story, and makes me reflect on the goods things in life! Or a beer comercial, :chuckle: either way a good feelin!

Tough choice. Both are great shots. But I went for the Bears because or the smaller chance of getting a shot like that.
-
Bears are taking it!
Tis the season!

It REALLY IS a great capture of a bear (x3). With bears being my favorite hunt and critter in general, I have to respectfully tip my hat. I will have to agree with all of the comments about how rare capturing a moment like this would be, let alone with such great photographic quality. If it was my pic, it would be one of the few framed I'd keep. WELL DONE BC CHASER, WELL DONE.

still a very cool pic decker i would have both framed and on my wall :twocents:

Thanks carsniperg2 I had a lot of fun shooting this outfitter's business. I took the trip to McCall, ID to take some shots for his Outfitting business, Elk Springs Outfitters. He just secured some new area to take fly fishermen into either by back pack, or horseback. This particular lake was considered a scouting trip, and could you ever say it was successful; Al Bayer, the owner, had caught 4 cutties in the 3-4# range by the time I had tied on my fly. (Had to take the shots too.) Let me tell you, if you have ever desired to drop your fly in front of a monster trout, in one of the most pristine, beautiful back-country settings out there, look him up www.elkspringsoutfitters.com (http://www.elkspringsoutfitters.com). Of course I just finished processing the photos of the trip, he doesn't even have them yet! So, they won't be up on his website, but if anyone is interested I would be happy to start a thread with more pics from that epic fishing trip.
Personally speaking, I want to thank all of you who contributed to making this months photo contest and epic trip itself. With SO MANY amazing shots up, I am completely blown away that one of my shots would make it to a "sudden death" vote off, HOW COOL IS THAT!?!? I am new to this site this year, but can already tell that I will be making it a permanent home.
almost 80 freakin' voters for the vote-off....ARE YOU KIDDIN' ME? :yike:
Thank you everyone.

Its nice to see some votes coming in.

Nice job BC and Kudos to second place as you truly represented Hiking in the PNW

Away on vacation I haven't read how in the heck you narrowed things down to these two photos. So many GREAT ones submitted this month. Truly glad I didn't get to vote in time. There is no way I'd have made up my mind. Damn fine job shutterbugs!

Thanks to all and congrats to you as well Decker. Im not a pro nor do I have great equipment. All my photos are undoctored (except for my signature). I took around 80 pics of her and the little ones and to my surprise most turned out really good. I missed out on another chance at a black sow with two cubs today. I did not have my camera with me. :bash: I too was surprised at the quality of this months pictures and am looking forward to next months contest. Im sure it is just going to keep getting better! A few more of the bears!
