Title: Anyone going out tomorrow?
Post by: mallard79 on August 05, 2010, 08:17:31 PM: Playin hooky from work tomorrow and heading out for my first bear hunt of the year. I will be somewhere off of HWY 2. Is anyone else gonna be out that way? Hopefully run into a decent bear to hang my tag on.

Post by: dirty24d on August 05, 2010, 08:46:48 PM: I'm heading out tomorrow. I was out tonite and myself and mallardman aka my neighbor saw a niiice boar but by the time we got the rifle he was gone. Saw him in a clear cut 10 minutes from my house right off highway 2!!

I cant wait for the pics and stories. I am going crazy waiting for season to start down here. Im like a kid waiting for Christmas. :bash:

I was by the nudist colony today, guy stopped me and said you know this a no shooting zone, i kindly said yes sir but it is not a no hunting area, i am bear hunting.. He says oh well becareful because we live here. and yes he was fully clothed in his toyota tercel. hahaha

I managed to see one today. Had a perfect opportunity for a 50 yard broadside shot, but for some reason my safety stuck. :bash: :'( I can't get it to stick again? Maybe a piece of something got down in the mechanism. Needless to say it is getting completely torn down tonight. I just wish my sidearm had been something a little more potent than my 45. :bdid: At least I have a better idea where to find him next time. :) Hopefully nobody gets to him before I get back out there. might have to be sick again monday :chuckle:
Headed over to Cle Elum next week for a family camping trip. Gonna put out my first trail cams and see if I can find a bear over there.
