Anybody else here hunt the Nooksack GMU area?
-
yep
-
Yep! The Bears that I've seen are very low. ;)
-
The one I ran into in August was low as well.

Same here. I was at 5000 ft two weekends ago and absolutly no bear sign. I spotted 2 below me at 3200ft. By the time we got there they were gone. Look for green grass. The berries will be ripe in a few weeks.

We packed in way high this weekend and the berries were not even close to ripe let alone hardly maturing. No bear sign at all so we left a day early.

Theres no Bear in the Nooksack unit!!! Better try hunting somewhere down south!!! :)
-
Exactly... no bear there! I was between 4000 and 4500 for most of 2 days thisw weekend... NADA..... Nothing at all, berries are a week or so away from being ripe. Got down to 3000 and started to see sign...

It's the only unit I hunt since it's so close to home. I'll usually wait until mid-September and hunt the higher elevations when the berries are ripening. :hunter:

There could be some in there somewhere? Lots of terrain to cover.
