Title: Seems like a successful season
Post by: Gutpile on August 29, 2010, 07:48:57 AM: Does it seem like a lot of bears are hitting the ground? Seems like it to me. I can't wait to get out there myself.

I have a feeling that one will wander in front of me eventually.....But yes it does seem like there are a lot of success stories. I wish I had started bear hunting years ago. It sure is nice to have something to hunt earlier than general deer.

I guess you could call that a good thing, but I can't get on the grouse. What will a do in a few more days when it opens up?

Seems like a real good bear season so far.

I think that is the case. About half the stories are from newer members. But it is still good to read all the stories.

3:1 Bears to Grouse for me this year. Very sad. :(

Post by: Ripper on August 30, 2010, 10:23:57 PM: I came close Sat morning. Saw my first bear while hunting for them. He just dropped out of sight before I could pull the trigger. I consider it a successful day, but next time I hope to put him on the ground!!
