Post by: skier2480 on August 31, 2010, 09:14:58 AM: Does anyone know of a good butcher up around the Bellingham area? I'm thinking when (not if ;) ) I get a bear this year of having it made into sausages and pepperoni sticks.

Sumas Meats in Abbotsford BC. Worth the drive. PM me for their phone number. -Haven't had Bear done there, but they do great with Deer I've taken there. The one form that you fill out at the U.S. customs office isn't a pain in the ass at all. Bears are federally managed, but legal to harvest here and transport for processing to/from B.C.

I second the vote for TNT. I live in Redmond and drive to his place every time I get a bear. Excellent work, great breakfast sausage.
