Good luck to my fellow redneck ninjas as my buddy refers to us bowhunters. I can't wait for Sept 7th to get here. I just got out of having to be at a class for work so I'll have the entire season off except for 1 day. Woo hoo!

Eventful morning. Stepped around the corner of the shop to check the food plot right at opening minute. Saw his head sticking up. Ranged him at 63 yards. Why not? Came to full draw, stepped back around corner, and he's gone. Found him, let down, ranged him again at 81. Reset sight, full draw, he takes a few steps away, comes broadside, a little Kentucky windage for the steps, and I execute a smooth release. Watched the arrow go an inch under his belly and hit a rock with a resounding whack.
Had to be the fastest coyote in the county, because he was boogying! Without that couple of steps, I would have had him and made all my neighbors happy. One Shuttle T and one Axis down for the count...... Oh well, it was fun.
Oh, yeah, there was one doe, one fawn, and a dink 2x3 buck bedded in there also, but I let them live to grow bigger.

Wow 81 yards huh? I am lucky to see 81 yards :chuckle:

I'm sitting in the stand now, :D good luck to everyone! Anybody kill yet?

I bought a rifle tag this year for deer, been bowhunting for deer now for 16years. Feels kind of weird not out chasing them this morning... :'(
