Title: any elk hunting predictions this year?
Post by: heavy hauler on September 01, 2010, 11:14:06 PM: anybody want to post their predictions? 3 of us have elk tags to use in az in a few days.we will be hunting all but the first day of the season. i am gonna say we go 3 for 3. we have been doing alot of prep work. we wil find out soon! hell ya!!! and for washington 0 for 3. :bash:

Post by: et1702 on September 02, 2010, 03:07:55 PM: My buddies and I went 1 out of four last year (25%), and I passed on a small bull calf under my stand at 15yards opening morning. my tag sure tasted bitter on the last day of the season.

Put in a lot more time and miles this year and predict at least 50% to 75% tags filled. Also, prediction of larger antler growth is accurate based on the pics we are getting. Couple monster 5x5 and 5x6 bulls in our cams, and this was in early July thru mid-August when they were still growing! Unfortunately, none of us have bull tags! Oh well lots of spikes and cows too!
