Title: Baiting Question
Post by: JH on September 07, 2010, 03:37:25 PM: Had a guy tell me this weekend that it is legal to bait deer, he said he talked to the game warden about it but I'm still not believing him. What are the actually rules, I took a glance at the regs but didn't find the info I was looking for.

I believe it's legal to bait a cougar. Just not very effective. I would check to make sure.

What is the difference between highly illegal and just regular illegal? :chuckle:

Ditto, I was in the same boat. Thats great news though

Aside from Cabelas, what other local-ish shops carry attractants/lures/etc?

So true, wish I'd gotten started on this months ago

Oh well, hopefully the smell of my deceptively awesome garden of eden will entice a few my way... though it would probably be more like them stumbling across my poorly layed-out stash. thanks for the feed store info. May have to stop by one on the way home to check things out

Someone else mentioned bananas working well with Elk, might as well give those a shot this year too
