I figured that since you all love to look at big bucks, check out the pig that came off of the strip this year!
I know that most of us here are aware of the strip, but if you are not it's in Arizona. A premier muley haven in which big bucks are taken almost every year. Sure would be nice to hunt it some day.

Thats a helluva buck for sure.
-
His arm must be real tired holding it out there so far
-
I know that a lot of you like the velvet but I would love to see that one hard horned  all $hitn aside that is a monster! How much do you think it takes to get in that area I assume its private
-
WOW!! I'm gonna kill one of those this weekend. :chuckle:
-
Heck of a buck, would like to read the story if there is one.

How much you say.
Oh, 250k for a governers tag (Az this year)
And i have heard up to 50k+ to the outfitter, could be less, but some guys will pay almost anything to be famous..

I will have to check my quarter jar I might just have it 250K you say! :chuckle:

That guy has littered the pages of Eastman's over the past decade with huge animals. He's got time and lots of $$$, and he takes some amazing animals. Forget his name but he's a upstanding guy who is very fortunate indeed!

Any of you guys could hunt the strip. All you have to do is draw a tag. You don't need $250k, an outfitter or private ground.

Almost all public land. Much is "roadless wilderness" now days. It used to be large BLM leases to local southern Utah ranchers. Now most of the ranches have been more or less closed due to the changing land designation from BLM to wilderness and even some into the expanded Grand Canyon NP. The guides are mostly family of the ranchers and still have good access and great knowledge of the area. It is very open and rough country. Very hard to hunt and find game. The deer do get very big. A guide earns his money here. A lot of the guides work out of St. George, Utah. It's the nearest town to good access points.

Yup. I know a couple folks that have had the opportunity to hunt the strip over the years. I fella just needs to put in for a tag and be drawn. Also, some of these guide services have been there for years and know the country like the back of thier hands. They are almost a must in my opinion if you are drawn for this tag because the country is REMOTE and ROUGH! And to be fair to these guys, a lot of them are pretty reasonably priced for the service that they provide.
Just pointing out that hunting the strip isn't always a "rich man's endevour" and that just about anyone can do it if the chips fall in the right places.

What a stud

more drool on keyboard...I need a damn bib :chuckle:
beyond amazing
-
Yep he's a shooter
-
I've put in for Washington's premier units for over ten years and can't get drawn....and I believe the odds are better than getting drawn for the strip. But you can't win if you don't play the game. :chuckle: amazing buck!
