Rick, are you still happy with the Scorpion?
I was pondering the purchase of a foxpro and was trying to determine whether the Scorpion, Firestorm or Fury was the right purchase. I was leaning on the Firestorm, but I was curious if it really gave any advantage over the Scorpion. The advantages are a little more obvious with the Fury, as it provides the additional memory. any help or insight you can give me woud be much appreciated.

Let us hear how it works for you. I just sold my 416 and am seriously looking at a Scorpion for a backup to my M-1 Bandit

You are going to love the Scorpion, Rick. I bought mine for the size, but then found out that I can hang it on a coverall strap and my body heat keeps the batteries warm. I moved the jumper to turn off the internal speaker, and run the cord out to the external speaker. (a Foxpro SP-55) Better volume with the SP-55 too! I've seen batteries die quickly in a Foxpro FX-3 after it sat out in the cold for 15 minutes. Another guy told me his buddy's Fury will do the same after a while in the cold.
BTW--Those calls you sent me came last week. Thanks! The one I'm keeping for myself sounds great! I hope my little buddy gets his front teeth by the time his birthday gets here next month. :chuckle:

If you use the NIMH batts this will no longer be a issue .
