He's not the biggest bull in the woods but I'm Happy to take him...
We spotted him across a drainage and decided to go after him. After a nice long walk,,,, slide,,,, and crawl down one side of the drainage, cross the creek and back up the other we found ourselves within 150 yards of him and his girls in an open cut (some bedded, some not..)
long story short we ended up backing off and calling him into the timber where he busted us at 30 yards.
We had split him from his cow's and he was headed to find them so we got aggressive with him with cow calls and ended up calling him back to us. He stopped at 53 yards to rake a tree and I sent the Shuttle T flying :hello: .
He didn't even know what hit him and slowly started to walk around so I sent a couple more flying :chuckle:,, Hey, what can I say, my adrenalin was pumping and if he's just gana stand there I'm gana keep shooting :dunno: :chuckle: .
Thank goodness my first shot was money cause the second two,,, not so much :chuckle: .
he didn't go far at all and dropped :whoo:
the funny thing was when he started to come in, Jay only had 3 min of tape left on the camera but was able to make it work and got it on film.
Big thanks to the team, Adam & Jay for all their help and to Andy for driving two hours just to come help pack him out  . Good friends, good times, good hunting......

He isn't a monster that's for sure but I'll take what I'm blessed with. I personally do not feel that the size of the animal makes the whole hunt, it's the experience that counts as well. Besides that I have a team I hunt with and it would be selfish of me to pass on him and hold out for something bigger. We take turns running the camera and passing on an opportunity to take a Roosevelt on film when there are other tags to fill on the team isn't something I'm going to do. Sorry he's not big enough for you, he works out just fine for me. Good eaten too... If you don't want to buy the DVD that's cool, I'll understand. Hope you have a great season, Happy hunting.

Which stores carry your videos? I love watching these type of videos in washington, no matter the inches. :IBCOOL:

Thanks guy's, Wholesale Sports will have the new DVD "Addicted 3" soon. This hunt will be on #4 but there are 18 hunts and 14 kill shots on #3 for you to enjoy. Some of the animals are big and some are average. We are not out there for just big crusher trophies, we love the outdoors, to hunt and share our experiences with all of you. I will post more places you can pick up the DVD's on our website when I finish packageing them all and get them out. THANKS AGAIN to everyone!!!!

For me it has always been more about the journey than the destination. If I get an animal to boot, that’s great. I have on occasion passed up game so the journey would continue rather than ending my season too early. Maybe that is just me but I can live with that. If you want videos that are full of trophy animals, they are available for you to purchase. Many of us will never be able to go hunts in places Primos and several of the other big names hunt. Myself, I put way more value on Chris's videos because he hunts fair chase on land that we can (and do) hunt. Keep those videos coming Chris and congratulations on another successful hunt. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Nice. I'll be buying your video. Very entertaining.

Way to go, Nice.

Thank you! I also love to continue the journey through the season and that is another reason I'm happy to film the rest of the team. When one of them harvest an animal and I'm filming, I feel just the same as when I harvested it myself :IBCOOL: . I couldn't be happier. Even though adding a camera man can make things a bit harder it's all worth it for us to be able to share the hunts with all of you.
Thank you again for everyone's support!!!

Well said hunting with a camera is a hole new ball game. Great job and i know it takes allot of hard work and some luck. Any legal bull with archery gear on film on public land is a hard earned. :IBCOOL: That's why they sell Primos DVD to look at horns and wish you could afford a hunt like that some day. My hates off to the do it your self hunter on public land and in western washington. GREAT JOB!! Keep shooting legal bulls.
-
Thats a goodun Chris. hurry up and get that video finished, my boy is chompin at the bit!!

Man, I've read some sh%t on these sites before, thats about the stupidest thing I've seen yet. Sometimes its best to zip your lip, and tend to your own knittin....
-
hey washbcbook - any chance I could view the the BC wash elk apparently you are tipping over. maybe you are getting more blood on your hands than the average dude and I could learn a few things from you. Do you wear a racoon hat and drive a toyota with a body lift or something cool like that? I will stop at the Wholesale sports and get a video and meet you in Teledo if you want. I want to be a big BC hunter like you. POST THOSE PIC'S YOU BOONE & CROOKET HUNTER. :twocents:

The DVD is done, :IBCOOL: I haven't had a chance to get them out to all the stores yet but right now you can pick one up at Lucky Shot Archery, Cenex and Country Tractor in Chehalis or Four Corners Store in CastleRock. I'm trying to get them out ever where else but I'm working too so it's a pain lol. Thank you, We put a lot of work into this dvd, trying to make everyone happy is impossible but we did our best so I cant wait to hear your feedback.
You can click on the link below to our website and watch the trailer to Addicted 3 on our home page!

Congrats, thats a good elk to me. And for elk if they're still standing I'll keep shooting.
