Post by: fatslinger on September 28, 2010, 09:54:25 AM: I forgot to mention the class starts at 9AM and we will try to be done by 4PM. Bruce will do a fur handling demo afterwards. He'll probably skin a 'coon, a beaver, and hopefully a muskrat.

Post by: YellowDog on September 28, 2010, 10:11:01 AM: Is the class a one time requirement. Meaning, if I take the class and do not buy a trapping license for 2 years, am I still good to go when I do decide to get into trapping?

Also, is there a charge for taking this class?

You can study the manual at home and take the test at the office. It is what is called challenging the course. You used to have to take the class at Olympia but they may let you take it at a regional office. Ask them.
I know we don't have enough classes but we don't have enough instructors and the department has seeded all responsibility to WSTA. We do our best. Call George Brady. He lives in Pateros and he would probably do a special class for you if you ask him.

On a lighter note from where I sit Olympia is the Eastside or almost Eastside. :)
