Dang-nabbit guys! I need to get out, but the honey-do's just keep piling up! :bash: :bash: :bash:
I've a couple of spots that are dying for me to "sit-on", but the deck needs work, the boat needs winterizing, the truck needs work, etc. etc. ....and the season just keeps getting later' an later.
Ever have one of those days???
I can't start anything, have to leave the house in a bit too.

I can realte. I came off the hill after packing in so I could see three soccer games today in the rain. I had bear all around me.
-
I feel your pain Bone! boy do i....... :'(
Even just yesterday got my binocs back from Nikon (second time in!), and they look/work great, just in time for some spotting....yet I don't get to go out and try 'em out! oh well.....
-
Bone, you don't need to get out...you need to go back! Go shoot a bear!
-
I got injured and am supposed to be recouping. (I.e. NO HUNTING) The "To do list" is more work than hunting ever would be. I am going back to work to do the "recouping" and I think that I need to get out for the same reason. :bash:
-
I am with all of you. I am going out tomorrow. The wife and kid are driving me nuts. Need some peace and quiet. Good luck to all. :) :)
-
Brothers,
I would help you all with those honey-do-lists if I lived closer so you could get out. I like chores and it allows me to get out because I have a smoking awesome wife that feels I need to hunt to get out and enjoy my time away from work and life.

Could be worse...my bro went out tonight for bear/elk and some POS busted into his rig, stole his arrows, coats. :bash:
-
Saylean Sounds like you and your brother need to invest in some car alarms!!Didn't your truck get broken into last year out by my place?Flippin' METHHEADS >:( >:( >:( >:(

I still can't believe someone would be stupid enough to break into somebody elses vehicle in the mountains. I wonder what their reaction would be if a hunter came back to his rig while they are in the middle of stealing crap? I think i'd make 'em dance. :guns:

if you want someone to sit on your spot and let you know what's going on, send a PM.
-
Ya, they tried to break into my rig out by Sultan last year, behind a locked gate. I parked where my brother got busted into tonight...I left a note on my driver window that said:
I am ARMED and close by, nothing in this truck is worth your life.
Might have some people think twice..might not...I bet it will get some looks, I think i am gonna keep putting it up when I park there or a few other spots I know of.

I'm not sure they can read anyway. I'll volunteer to do a stake out for you. Let me know where that is happening. I'm serious too :chuckle:
-
Heard of this kind of crap going on, have even thought about sitting and watching my own rig for a while just to see what happens....
A guy should put a trail cam pointed towards his rig in areas where this is going on, but they'd just steal that too....
-
Last year the Winston unit had something like 17 break-in's during the entire hunting season. I think that area would be a prime area for a stake out. Killing them is a little too severe but a mallet and phone book or rubber hose filled with lead seems like an opportunity to impress in a mind to keep driving by a parked rig.
-
Just to be clear, I wouldnt blast someone for busting into my rig...its just a loud bark. ;)
They might lay on the ground under gun point until police got there, but that would be about it...
no curb stomping... :chuckle:
