Awesome bears Guy! Congrates again! And thanks for your help yesterday buddy!

I will add mine from this year, i shot it only minutes after Guy shot his. we both shot from the same rock!
-
Rasbo.....anytime you want to "borrow" her is ok with me...like i said i've only shot 4 bears and she has been with me for every one, shot one elk with my bow and she was beside me when i killed it, drew a moose tag in E Wa and she was there when i dropped the hammer on a 43 1/2" bull.....she's my good luck hunting partner and loves getting out in the woods and making it happen....i'm blessed to have her with me .....wish everyone had a hunting partner like her.

Those are some great pic's! :) Makes me think I need to spend some time in the woods and get a good one! The only one I ever shot was about 75 pounds live so I'm guessing mom had already been killed. Nice bears guy's good work.

We need some more bear stories & photos here...
-
i think hes got flip flops on
yes i did have flip flops on we have to wade to our spot and i missed the gravel bar :bdid: at one of the crossings ended up belly button deep, filled my hip boots that was the only set of dry clothes/shoes i had in the truck
I dont know who looks more tired you or the bear :chuckle:
that would be me it was really hot that day and before the hunt i was running excavator all day for my dad tearing out our orchard ended up with a pretty good case of heat exhaustion, dad really wanted the orchard out and i really wanted to go hunting, he said if i finished the orchard that day hed give me a couple days off, so like the idiot i am i pushed it a bit to far
-
Wish it was mine... but it's not. I just helped pack it out.

I'll put the pic of the bear I got during the high buck hunt this year. More pics are under the thread called "High Bear Hunt". Its my 3rd bear and my smallest, but one of the funnest hunts.
-
thanx guys. here is a neat photo of my 2009 bear. a little bigger at 6 ft 8 inches.I target these guys in the elk calfing meadows in the wilderness areas. I hunt in early aug and have had great luck using a sceery cow call.in eastern wash I have killed several bears in colville and southeasten wash mostly spot and stalk I am still looking for a reliable call,I have had limited sucess with a deer bleat call and have called in 2 bears with a crow call but nothing that works reliably.
-
One from the first week of the Season.

Couple questions for you: Are you solo when calling, or with a partner? Do you use mouth calls or electronic? I've done some calling for bears too. Nothing has come in for me yet, but I keep doing it hoping to smoke one on the way into a call...
Great bear, by the way.
-
250lb 5,5 ft
-
awesome thread! hope to share a picture of my own in the 2011 season thread!
-
brothers spring bear...
-
Congrats to everyone! Awesome thread!
-
Sweet Bear Keith, How shakey are you when you first walk up on a bear that size? I get kind a jumpy when I am walking up on a Black Bear,
I think there is probably an increase in the pucker factor when walking up on a Bear of that size.
-
Holy cow Skyval!.....boy it would be worth filming me walking up on something like that...I would be high strung like a cat!
-
Looking at these pics makes me want to go bear hunting way bad. Only 148 days to go... :(
-
awesome pics!
-
Wasn't huge but pretty special to have my little guy along with me who is now hooked! It's also proudly on display on his bedroom wall!
-
That will be awesome when the young man has friends over to spend the night 8)
-
Not a big bear but it was still fun.
-
thats a good idea with the ladder :)
-
why did you take a picture of your bear with the camera upside down??? :chuckle:
-
my 2010 bear pics are posted under Bear hunting board, go look if you want to see it.
-
thats a good idea with the ladder :)
-
The pictures were from my phone don't know why they are upside down when I posted them. The ladder on wheels was my dads idea.
-
