Did you hear what unit/area?  I just got a sinking feeling in my stomach.  We saw a small plane flying over suspiciously the other day, and there was sometthing out there to see, if you know what I mean...

There's been more than enough bashing of the Auction tags on here. Let's leave it at that or this one will be gone too. The horse has been beat beyond very very dead.

my buddies nieghbor called him a few years back and said he hit a moose by sultan and needed a tow . they went up to bring home his smashed astro van and found a trail trough the brush that looked to made from a mack truck. the next morning he went back and found a dead elk and he was a freaking toad huge mass and scored in the 370's . any way it could be that a huge bull was killed near Sultan .

His guides were told no to the private property a huge bull was on last Wednesday. The bull hasn't been seen since Sunday so maby he got the permission or it wandered off the private property. Or maby he scored something else, I hope so, man I wanted a chance at that bull.

I have come a long way on this topic.  Two years ago I was dead set against it.  Now I seem to be way less judgemental.  I've opened my eyes a bit so to speak.  I've also had a chance to interact with a few folks involved in these hunts.    There are still bits about it I don't like,(mostly the Doyle Moss thing) but in this case the guy is hunting, hell even hunting when the woods are full of guys.  GOOD FOR HIM.   PLUS, his money is going into the coffers to help wildlife.  It could be another tribal kill, where the bones are ending up on ebay and the meat in the belly of the stray dogs.  Or even another scenerio, feeding a pack of wolves, or poached.   I'm sure there are slob Gov tag holders, but there are slob everything hunters.  If this guy is hunting fair chase, then Congrats to him on a heck of a bull.

I think he's been putting in plenty of effort, I think there are a lot of people that are putting in effort. Congrats to him on a great bull!

The only part that bugs me is that it's one less bull for me to go find :'(

Both are top notch guys, extremely hardworking, elk savvy folks. Think it would be tough to find a guys that knew the country and the elk/habits better. Once again, congrats to the guides.

If I had the money I do not think I would hire a guide. O. K maybe I would. I have not faired well on guided hunts, do way better on my own. But yet Maybe I would... Or not. Oh, I am so confused.
This tag has got me spinning If I had the govenors tag I would probably drive myself crazy with excitement. kinda like I am now
