the collar cost an extra $10,000. :chuckle:

-

They don't! that is the result of some wet side rutting that got out of control ;)
-
Very Nice
-
Nice bull, congrats to the hunter.
I just got off the phone with 50calJim, he's been up there all day with the Raffle Tag hunter. They have had their eyes on that bull. :chuckle:
-
Good looking bull.
-
Great looking bull! Congrats to the hunter
-
Well they finally got him, I suppose I can release the footage I have of him now, I took about 5 minutes of video of him herding his cows about 2.5 weeks ago, i was gonna try for him but now will have to find a bigger bull. Congrats to the Governors tag holder and way to go shawn for putting him on it!!!! :)
-
Yep, he was a good one. We got near him a couple times and then had him pop out of the fog in front of us on the road. Darn camera was in the back of the truck so I couldn't get any pics.
-
you better turn the collar in the game department will come looking for it the batterries last like 4 years
-
How much did the transmitter cost? :)
-
How much money does he make? That way we can decide whether he is a "real" hunter or not. :bash:

That was funny, I don't care who you are. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Nice bull!
-
Funny thing is I've got a Trail Cam right where this Bull was shot so who knows I might have some action photos we'll see. :chuckle:
-
That's a good west side bull!
-
Beauty.
-
Dandy bull.Nice job
-
Congrats. Great bull!
-
So would a collar mess with his coat in that area and skrew up your mount?
Also, not trying to be negative, but a collared bull takes some of the "wild" out of the animal in my opinion....steals some of the magic... Like a clipped salmon...

You dont stare at the Collar when its on the wall do you!! Bad ass bull.. collar or not who gives a $hit thats a bad ass bull.. its a mounter!...
-
Thats a hell of a bull! Congrats to the hunter!
-
Nice bull!!! Lots out there probably with the gov's tag woulda held out a lil longer!!! :) Just my :twocents:
-

I would ask WDFW if I could keep the collar and have it mounted with the collar. Would be cool to have it on the wall just as it was shot.
Great lookin rosi btw.
-
Not sure if they have to turn the collar in or not, does anybody have experience with this? Buckaholic, I dont think there is many up there much bigger turning a westside bull down that size would be crazy hard to do!
-
I'm sure you have to turn in the collar. It is kinda like turning in your duck with a band. The game dept. finds out where they go and what happened to them.
-
Would be cool mounted with the collar
-
hell of a bull. congrats
-
congrats! that is one hell of a bull!!!
-
Dream westside bull!
-
Id treat it like a duck band. call wdfw tell them its dead and hang the collar on the wall :)
-
I would not mention the collar and have it mounted with it. Congrats to the hunter on that bull. That bull is a dandy for sure.

Not sure if you "have " to turn them in but when we shot a cow with a collar on her. We called the WDFW and they sent someone to my house to pick it up.
They told me how much the collars cost to replace. I don't remember exactly but it was around $500 I think.
-
Sweet elk! Congrats, that's got some real character...wallhanger for sure.
-
Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Congrats to the hunter.

I went to school with this guy and he and his whole family are elk assasians....They are all very good hunters and have killed lots of elk.

My comment was in no way directed towards this hunter. It was in regards to a debate that was going on at the time in the thread about the eastside governors bull.
-
Congrats to the hunter!!! He payed the price to be able to hunt there and killed a very very respectable bull!!! Someday I hope!!
-
A nice looking bull. That bull was dumb enough to get put down twice. :P I would take the collar off. If you have any guest that come over they would think you have someones pet hanging on the wall. Either that or get the collar stiched with a name like Brutis or something along those lines. Just hope the wife doesn't hang a leash off the bottom of it. :chuckle:
-
Its not the WDFW's collar. Its a Tribal Collar. Scored 370 ish too.
-
Didnt score quite that high, were did you here that? Ive got 5minutes of footage on that bull.
-
St helens transplant?
It is a native Nooksack bull.
-
370 bull....with whose tape measure???
-
370 bull....with whose tape measure???
The tape must have started at 3" if that bull scored 370". But one helluva bull that I'd be thrilled to kill.

C'mon - if the guy holding the rack up is 7'9", and the bull's hanging weight at the butcher is 1300lbs+, that could easily be a 370" bull.
-
370 with the outside spread (if its 50 inches) added also :chuckle: And we all know that you dont add the outside spread ..... right ;)
-
ITs times like these I miss Mray and his flex tape. :)
-
370 bull....with whose tape measure???
Probably borrowed Dmanmastertracker's... :chuckle:
Mile's inchworm gauge was used to measure perhaps? :chuckle:
What's wrong with shooting doe's anyways poster?
-

Dang, your incentive bull must have been about 430 then. :chuckle:
-
how many gov's tags does that gov. quagmire give anyway :dunno:
-
Theres an incentive tag, theres a tag for someone who is terminal, theres a govenors tag, there is the raffle tag, there is a regional raffle tag.....
-
I know of a non resident who got an incentive tag. I think he hunted wa last year and was chosen by his harvest report. He's in the blues as we speak.
-
St helens transplant?
It is a native Nooksack bull.
The heards have been transplanted on several occasions to help the heard. It's an anchor baby.
-
Bulls weren't transplanted to the Nooksack from St. Helens.
-
From the skookumchuck to the nooksack ;)
-
When did that happen, there is no record of it? Just from St. Helens and Yellowstone?
-
Should be there.
-
Do you know when approximately?
-
I remember seeing on the news they took a bunch from the chehalis river area and transplanted them there.
-

they're auction tags, not governor's tags in Washington.
-
Do you know when approximately?
Mid - late 90's I beleive.

-
Great bull, congrats to the hunter.
-
The Chehalis transfer animals in the mid 90's went to the Green and White River Units.

It may have, but the nooksack was re-populated in the mid 90s.
-
Hybrids from St Helens I believe-... No B&C and no P&Y correct? :dunno: Maybe SCI :dunno:
