Hope everyone has a good season. Please remember safety when water fowling doesn't end with weapon safety. Many a WF ends up in trouble in water wading, boating, ice, dog in trouble etc. etc. the list can go on. Be safe, have fun that's #1.

Went and shot clays, rigged all my decoys that lost weights or looked beat up after last year, bought a case of shells, switched the chokes in my gun. I cant wait.

Sold my duck decoys I used last season and replaced them with all new ones.  Picked up another dozen Dave Smith Decoys.  Finished up an additional duck blind.  Recently picked up another 4 cases of shells.  I am getting there.

I REALLY like the DSD deeks but I just don't hunt canada geese enough to justify storing them. I have been thinking about the snows though. they are pricey, but a cool item to add to the spread.

I love the price of the hotbuys, but hate the keels.

they float well but the short keel is a pita for a number of reasons.

my brother was going to buy some more cheap deeks today just cause he wanted them. I told him to save his money and just buy some Aeros.

That's a good part of the reason I bought the GHG Lifesize series mallards instead of the hotbuys. I figure when the paint's gone I'll just repaint so I wanted to have something I liked. I guess I'll start painting on Oct 17  :bash:
