Had a nice day fishing at Rocky last Saturday. Hauled in a nice little Rocky pig and a bunch of clones in the 18"-20" range.

you can't get in the water at Rocky, ticket if you get your feet wet. It's probably about 6' deep of muck and sludge. Most areas are probably only about 3' from water surface to muck/goo/slime.
Rocky is in Ephrata / Moses Lake. Fun spot. Usually, very tough fly fishing. Not a great place to learn but, fun to watch huge fish sit like a healing dog right next to your feet. They know you're there and just will lay in water right next to you. They pretty much ignore anything you put in front of them unless it is exactly what they are eating.
I like fishing the moving water areas most but, some folks fish the slow/still water and do well. I'm not all that patient when I see them cruising around.
Rocky is best on a sunny, winter day with snow on the ground. Only my opinion because I'm usually all alone!

Yup. They are pretty particular and will ticket you in a heart beat.

The fish are as particular as the game wardens. I like snow on the ground too....less chance of stepping on a buzz worm

hate snakes, saw three snakes swimming around. One underwater- I moved further away....

First trip there, I hooked a brute that acted tame, swam right to the shore, let me remove the hook, swam back out and resumed his spot. I thought, wow, that was easy. Then worked 2 hrs at trying to hook more and was only rewarded a 14" fish that showed me how much power a 14" bow could have. That thing kicked my rear... The brute, somewhere in the mid 20's, was a pet! Still though, fun place to fish when nobody is there in the winter.
