Title: Moose on Loup Loup
Post by: sled on September 28, 2010, 08:33:19 PM: Saw a Bull Moose cross in front of the truck thursday night. He wasnt a giant but very cool!

Post by: boneaddict on September 29, 2010, 04:16:31 PM: Define normal. There has been moose there a long time. The fire was pretty hard on them. They are recovering. You won't see alot of them but they are there and have been for some time.

Post by: MtnMuley on September 29, 2010, 04:18:01 PM: You never know where you are going to see a moose in the county anymore. They're becomming a lot more common. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a permit on the west side of the county in the future.

Post by: boneaddict on September 29, 2010, 04:19:43 PM: Now since the fire, there should be alot more feed for them, so hoping they take off, but with all the rumors of wolves hanging there and now some from the north, who knows.

The Colville tribe hunts them up there. There, and on Disateul and Omak Mtn.

I bet it was cool to see crossing the road.

Post by: donimator on September 30, 2010, 11:18:43 AM: Yup they are there! I saw two bull moose a few weeks ago coming down from Rock Lakes towards Loup Loup. Also heard of one two years ago on Fox Mt. before it burned up.
