Went out quail hunting last Saturday and had a pretty good morning. I spent the rest of the day scouting around looking for a pond near a blind I always hunt. Every year I usually go to this blind and really have to work for my birds. Thats because there has always been a hidden pond off in the distance that must have been filled with live birds. Every year the ducks would pass us right up and bomb into this pond. Well, I found it. And its F-in AWESOME.
When I walked up to the pond there had to be over 100, yes 100, Woodies just chillin. Not to mention the large variety of other birds. Ya Im freakin pumped!!!!!
Ya'll feelin the same way, or am I just hooked on quack?

Good looking quail.

Go get them. Or wait a few weeks until the pin feathers are gone, so you can get a few mounters.

I wont be able to make it out there till the 30th. Hopefully they'll still be around. Its a pretty secluded area :dunno:

If they are there now they probably will stick around unless the pond freezes. Wait until there good to mount then take a crack at them.
