Title: how many of us are heading to IDAHO THIS WEEK FOR RIFLE DEER OPENER.

Post by: shedcrazy on October 05, 2010, 09:09:58 PM: I went over for spring bear, and already have my out of state liscence. I can't find my Idaho regs, how much is the deer tag. We saw a ton of whitetails, and some that were going to be huge!!

They don't listen to regular hunters, but when you drop $400-$800 for tags then maybe they will wake up.. Its beautiful country but i decided to save the cash and hunt more in our state...

Post by: agchawk on October 06, 2010, 03:05:34 PM: Good luck all! I hardly ever hit it opening weekend. I usually wait a few weeks before I start attempting to fill my tag. I take my work vacation during the rut also...a lot more fun during that time of the season if you don't mind dealing with the snow.

Same here. Will be my first year hunting the panhandle for elk and took both weeks from work off and can not wait!

I will mostly be hunting unit 4 also but will be all over the place. If you want to tell me where he was I will go check on Sunday to make sure he is still there for you..

Post by: dlaw on October 07, 2010, 10:41:51 PM: My buddy was successful in harvesting a bull during archery season while we were there is what I should have said. He purchased a second elk tag and a deer tag so we are headed back for that hunt in a couple weeks. His dad and brother are in there hunting starting Sunday. I will let you know how they fare. Good luck.

dscubame--We are further North, so far haven't had any big problems with the wolf population.
