Title: couple of questions
Post by: HighCountryHunter88 on October 07, 2010, 06:03:23 PM
i will soon be purchasing a new rifle and I've been looking hard at the tikka t3 lite in 270 wsm. i was wondering if anyone has one and how they like it? also i will be deer hunting this year with my 6mm and wanted to see if anyone has a favorite factory deer load for that caliber?
Thanks!

not a 6mm guy. but i am a tikka guy and a 270wsm guy :chuckle: very good gun and very good caliber. one of the flatest shooting rounds out there. plenty of power to take any animal around here.

its a little more recoil then the 270 win. but it all depends on the gun. i have a t3 in the 270win and a 700 in the 270wsm so i have not shot the t3 in a 270wsm. for factory loads i really like the xp3 line, very good bullet. i handload myself mine like 57g h4831 cci lrm with 150 grain bullet or 64g h4831 cci lrm and 130g bullet. these are my loads and my data not recommending anyone else try my loads.
