Cougar is not bad at all. Very lean to grind, like any game.
Coyote I wouldn't try just from the smell!

I voted cougar even though I haven't tried it. I would for sure. Probably steak, roast, burg and canned.
As for yotes.....yuck. Can't even think about it without getting a bit sick.

Never tried either but a buddy of mine got a couple cougar steaks from the local butcher and he said it was fantastic!! I trust him enough to say I would eat cougar.

Cougar steaks are pretty good. I had a few in the freezer to grill up when company wanted something unusual. I got my mother in law to eat one by telling her we had REALLY lean pork in WA...the look on her face was priceless when I told her what it was! :chuckle:

I have had cougar jerky. It wasn't bad, of course if done right you can make jerky out of shoe leather. Coyote....make the shoe leather...NO WAY I'd even want to try it. Its probably fine, I just psychologically couldn't do it.
