-
Great bull man! I heard you shot a good one. Glad to see pics of it.
-
That's a fantastic bull! Let's hear the story....
-
Thanks everyone for all the comments. Much appreciated. As you can see the bull is a 7x8 and green scores 390" (gross) as a typical. It holds its net score pretty well. We'll see how he holds up after the 60 day drying period. Probably not going to have time to write a story this week since I have been away from the house hunting moose, bear and elk for several weeks and opening deer for my boys this weekend.
All I can say is that it wasn't your typical elk hunt!
-
What a monster!!! Congrats on a true trophy!!!! That bull has it all!!!
-
Nice Rubbles! How long are the beams on that bad boy? Must be pushing the upper 50's?

What exactly is a "Typical Elk Hunt".... I don't think I've ever seen two elk do the same thing in my life... :chuckle: (I think that's why no one hunts them out of treestands.. :dunno: )
-
Bucklucky - Both main beams scored 55 5/8 ----- no deductions!
-
Thats just a dandy bull all around...great job man!
-
Wow, great bull.
-
Really nice bull, good job.
-
now, thats a bull.
-
Great bull, I can not wait for the story. Congratulations.
-
The bull was officially scored this week by Todd Peyser. It is the new WA State record Typical muzzleloader bull. The gross score was 394 and the net score was 381 4/8".
-
Awesome bull!!!! Congrats on a state record!
-
Awesome Bull, You must of about crapped when u saw him :yike: :yike:

I had never seen this bull anywhere in the area prior to the night before the opener. It was a sleepless night.
The real shocker was poking my head over a bush and coming face to face with him at 20 yards. Talk about an adrenalin pump!
-
:IBCOOL: You did it!!! :IBCOOL:
-
That's a beast! Good job!
-
Helll YEAH!!! :o :o :o
:yike:

Congrats man. I was just thinking that it was getting to be time to get this HAWG :yike: measured.
Its a done deal.
-
Wow! Great looking bull! Sure is a monster!
-
Ha there's proof there ARE bulls in the Blue Mountains. You BLue Mountain mafia can't deny that any longer, keeping the rest of us in the dark. You've been caught red-handed. HA HA HA!!!!
-
:yike: beautiful!
Congratulations!
-
its a ruse,(beautiful bull by the way) but i think the aliens trans planted it here. from the clockum.
-
oh, and they said it would only be this one time.
-
Remember, we had never seen this bull before so he must have migrated in from the Clockum....no other big bulls left in the area! Clockum is where there all at. Here's a couple more pics.
-

For once we agree. The aliens in fact transplanted ALL of the Colockum bulls to the Blues?
-
Thats just an awesome looking bull man!!
-
way cool bulls.
-
no clockumelk, they only transplanted one & it is evedent that it no longer lives. oh and they sterilized it during transport so no genes could be passed (IF)he were to encounter a migrating cow. not likley since everyone knows theres no elk in the blues

:chuckle: :chuckle:
Well in that case Rubbles was extremely gutsy in willing to take the chance of hunting an area that is "known" to not have any elk in it. Quite lucky that he was able to find the "only" elk in that area. Either that or he's got some connections and paid those aliens to transplant that elk right in front of him. If that's the case we might need to do some investigating to see if its legit to put in the books. Anyone know what the B&C Rules state about alien transplants :dunno: :chuckle:
-
BTW you Blue Mountain Mafia may have gotten away with it this time. But I'll prove that there's elk in there Blue Mountains. Just you wait.
-
I love this bull! I wonder if his 3rds grew like the rest what he would have gone :yike:
-
Sweet bull! Congrats to you!
-

Awwww Colockum.... all you're gonna do is shoot one of them big Colockum bulls, throw it in your truck, drive it over to the blues and take a picture of it in front of the grain elevators at the bottom of Lewis Peak Road. (Some people will do ANYTHING to protect their hunting areas... ).
Don't bother. We're on to you. Everyone knows that there are no more big bulls in the Blues, and the Colockum is the place to burn your tag points on...so quit messin' with people's heads... :nono:
-
:yeah:
-

Good eye 400out.....that is his weak point and kept him from going over the magic number.
Thanks for all the positive comments.

No Colockum, no Blues. That boy is from Montana! I saw this picture in a local MT paper; I think you guys Photoshopped it to make it look like it came from Washington.
